Drew Lock Injures Throwing Shoulder, Broncos Down To Third-String QB

Drew Lock, the Broncos backup quarterback, suffered an injury to his throwing shoulder against the Chargers and is questionable to return.

By video, Lock was hit on the right shoulder by Chargers defender Joey Bosa and landed hard on the shoulder.

He left the field and was taken to the locker room for evaluation.

We have significant worry for an AC joint sprain, meaning his only chance to return is with an injection.

Lock suffered an AC joint sprain to the throwing shoulder last season and missed three weeks time.

Third-string quarterback Brett Rypien is in at quarterback for the Broncos.

Starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is still recovering from a concussion he suffered Week 15.
