Drew Lock suffered a oblique/abdominal strain, and this can undoubtedly affect a quarterback. It’s an injury that can worsen and affect the quarterback’s accuracy. Lock being a younger, stronger arm was able to play his way through it, but take a look at Drew Brees in yesterday’s game. A chest/torso injury kept him out of the second half win against San Francisco. Lock being younger helps, but this still is a significant injury for a quarterback. He did have some ointment rubbed on his rib/flank area and continued to play, but threw four interceptions and the injury could be paired with his stat line yesterday.
