Philadelphia was eliminated from playoff contention after their Week 16 loss to Dallas. This week they play Washington, who needs a win to clinch the NFC East and a home playoff game. It doesn’t appear that the Eagles are trying to ruin dreams and playoff hopes, as their without a handful of starters on both sides of the ball. In fact, they will be without four starters on offense and three starters on defense. Keep in mind, this is not counting the losses of Jason Peters, Brandon Brooks, Lane Johnson, or Andre Dillard. Nevertheless they will be without their leading rusher Miles Sanders, tight end Dallas Goedert, two starting defensive linemen in Derek Barnett and Fletcher Cox, starting safety Jalen Mills, starting left tackle Jordan Mailata, and speedy wide receiver DeSean Jackson. The Eagles will also be without tight end Richard Rodgers along with linebackers Duke Riley and Shaun Bradley. It appears the Eagles are eager for a better draft pick instead of beating the Washington football team and ruining their playoff aspirations.
