Despite the good news of Avonte Maddox’s quick hospital stay and ability to fly home, the Eagles continue to suffer a rash of injuries to their cornerbacks. In some ways this is a carryover from last year. Ronald Darby is now out with a compensatory hamstring issue after tearing his ACL last season. Sidney Jones is also dealing with a hamstring issue and was beat several times last night by Davante Adams. Cre’Von LeBlanc and Jalen Mills are both dealing with foot injury with the latter starting the year on the PUP list. At this point, 5 of the Eagles defensive backs have injury issues and the team is down to their final depth players at cornerback. This has been an ongoing problem the season with Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams able to exploit them with high level production. The defensive front line and linebackers are improving in health but the cornerback position continues to be maligned.
