Jimmy Garoppolo (76 last week) 81
The 49ers offense turned in a dismal performance against the Packers, but Garoppolo will be one week better and facing a Rams team potentially down two starting safeties for a third straight week. He had a bad interception against Green Bay and may still have ball control and accuracy issues as he deals with thumb and shoulder injuries on his throwing arm.
Joe Burrow (94 last week) 94
The former LSU quarterback continued his incredible season against Tennessee, throwing for 348 yards despite being sacked 9 times. Burrow’s rookie-year ACL tear is behind him and he’s making plays inside and outside the pocket.
Cam Akers (74 last week) 74
Akers continues to round into form after his July Achilles tendon tear. He seems to have a firm grasp on the lead back role, out-touching Sony Michel 27-3 in the win over the Buccaneers. With all those touches, he averaged just 2 yards per carry and still doesn’t have 100% of his burst back. The 22-year-old had 68 scrimmage yards against Tampa Bay, but gets a tough matchup against San Francisco this week.
Darrell Henderson Jr. (33 last week) 71
Henderson could be activated off IR this week, but he will still likely be limited by the right knee MCL sprain he suffered Week 16. If he is active, he will have to beat out Sony Michel for touches, as Cam Akers is clearly the lead back right now for the Rams.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire (75 last week) 91
The 22-year-old looked fresh in his return from the Week 16 shoulder injury. He had 7 rushes for 60 yards and 1 catch for 9 yards against the Bills. Expect him to see more carries this week against the Bengals, but Jerick McKinnon will likely still get a majority of the action in the passing game.
Darrel Williams (63 last week) 39
The fourth-year pro’s toe injury limited him to one carry in the Wildcard Round and caused him to miss the Divisional Round win over Buffalo. He should have a solid chance to play this week, but will need to beat out Jerick McKinnon for touches. McKinnon looks to be the fresher back despite two past ACL tears.
Deebo Samuel (94 last week) 80
The heart and soul of the 49ers offense left the game late with a right ankle injury. He told reporters after the game his ankle “got twisted up,” but said it felt fine after the win. Samuel is also dealing with a minor knee injury after knee was hit by helmet on final run Saturday. His practice pattern this week will give us a better indication of just how healthy his ankle is, but he is absolutely playing against the Rams this Sunday.
Tight End
George Kittle (93 last week) 93
The 28-year-old Pro Bowl tight end was seen limping late in the win over Green Bay. He had his right leg rolled up on while blocking in the fourth quarter, but returned and looked healthy. He finished the game with 4 catches for 63 yards on 6 targets. The Sports Injury Central team will monitor his status as more information comes out, but we don’t expect him to miss snaps against the Rams this Sunday.
