Marlon Mack has been released, and will now be a free agent. The veteran Colts running back tore his Achilles in the first game of the season. The good news is the tear came very early in the campaign and with the timing it gives him a chance to be fully healthy for the start of the 2021 regular season. Mack is someone who could project to be healthy for the regular season but would not be able to be completely cleared now. In some ways the pandemic hurts him as he cannot have an in person physical but some ways it helps him because there is no real offseason meaning no OTAs and less practice. Being injured early was good fortune for him as an early season injury gives him time to be good to go for 2021.
