The 49ers will likely be without two running backs this weekend's matchup with the Jaguars, as starter Elijah Mitchell is doubtful and backup JaMycal Hasty has been ruled out. Because of the nature of Mitchell's injury – a fractured right middle finger – grip and ball control are concerns for the rookie running back. The rookie back suffered the injury to his right middle finger in San Francisco's win over the Rams in Week 10 and had surgery to place a pin on Tuesday. Historically, only 5% of players with a doubtful designation play, so a surprise active for Mitchell is unlikely. Jeff Wilson Jr., who returned in Week 9 from a significant meniscus injury, will be in line for the start if Mitchell misses the contest. Wilson rushed 10 times for 28 yards in Week 10.
