It has been a lackluster season for the Colts tight end and now word has come that he is headed to injured reserve. News has come down that he will need surgery on both ankles. It is unclear whether this is an arthroscopic clean up or a ligament stabilization surgery. In any case, it's likely if it was just one side that he could have played through but with both ankles injured that makes it difficult to not have a good side to rely on. The Colts have had their share of injuries to the offensive skill positions with quarterback Jacoby Brissett MCL sprain, three wide receivers including star T.Y. Hilton, and running back Marlon Mack who is out with a broken hand. Both Brissett and Hilton have returned but the Colts will have to cope without Ebron who is now on injured reserve and Mack who is still trying recovering for the next week or two.
