The Giants star tight end finished the game versus the Vikings last week but popped up on the injury report Monday. He is apparently suffering from a medial collateral ligament (MCL) knee issue. He did miss three games last year with an MCL injury in his right knee. By video, there is no clear play where he injured his knee and even finished the game with a team high 11 targets. The hope is that this is a mild setback. Given the short turnaround because the Giants play Thursday, I expect him to be unable to play. The short rest games have not proved to be more dangerous in terms of new injuries but it does make it hard for players already injured to recover in time to play.
