Expect Both Browns to Play, Teams Playing It Safe With Practice Status

Titans receiver A.J. Brown and Buccaneers wideout Antonio Brown both missed practice Thursday, but are both likely to play this Sunday.

A.J. Brown's practice is slightly more concerning as he was listed with a new calf issue. The DNP was reportedly precautionary, but if Brown misses practice again on Friday it would not bode well for his status this Sunday.

He missed three weeks with a chest injury before returning for a dominant performance against the 49ers last Thursday.

Fellow wide receiver Julio Jones is dealing with a nagging hamstring injury and is currently on the COVID reserve list along with Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

Both receivers should clear the COVID protocols to play this weekend, but the missed practice time for all three will put them at a disadvantage against a Dolphins defense that has been on fire lately.

Antonio Brown's DNP was likely to rest the ankle injury he suffered Week 6.

Brown missed 8 weeks with the ankle injury and suspension for a fake vaccination card. He returned last week and had 10 catches for 101 yards.

Tampa Bay needs the former Steelers receiver with Mike Evans likely ineffective due to a hamstring injury.
