Ezekiel Elliott Returns After Suffering Right Knee Contusion

Ezekiel Elliott, the Cowboys star running back, suffered a right knee contusion in the first quarter, but returned to the game. By video, we didn't see much on the initial play. Elliott called for a sub and missed the next offensive series, then returned to play in the second quarter. After halftime, he was seen with a wrap and a heating pad on his right knee and was deemed questionable to return. He returned on the second offensive series in the third quarter. Tony Pollard could get a healthy dose of touches if Elliott is limited in the second half.

Update

Elliott finished the game and had 10 carries for 51 yards, plus three catches for 25 yards. After the game, the Cowboys running back said he has been dealing with a right knee injury for weeks, but he will play through it. Dallas plays Atlanta next Sunday.
