MRI revealed a partially torn UCL and a flexor strain that will likely require surgery, according to our panel of docs - will miss significant time and out the entire season if he undergoes Tommy John surgery.
Will start the season on IL as he builds up his shoulder to full strength - the team says he did not suffer a setback but doesn't have enough time to ramp up for Opening Day.
Diagnosed with a mild right hamstring strain he suffered in early March outing - uncertain for Opening Day but should only miss minimum time if he lands on 15-day IL - was sidelined by hamstring strains twice in 2022.
