The new Buccaneers running back will miss Week 4 per Bruce Arians. There is a reported ankle injury, though by video we did not see anything new. Fournette does have a chronic history of ankle issues going back to college and in Jacksonville, and has missed time throughout his career. If it is indeed a chronic issue flaring up in week 4, this is very concerning. Fournette may want to consider potential surgery to tighten up his ankle and fix these chronic issues so he can get through a full season this offseason but right now having a week off will allow him to return to the field and produce. He split carries with Ronald Jones last week versus Denver, and Jones should see the lions share moving forward.
