Frank Ragnow, the Detroit Lions pro bowl center, will reportedly undergo toe surgery for an issue that already landed him on IR after Week 4. The decision to have the surgery now ensures he will get well in time for the start of the 2022 season. This means it's a fairly significant injury. The procedure is likely one to repair the plantar plate for a turf toe type injury. That would allow him to push off and return to his high level of play, but he will not be coming back this season, or any time soon. We reviewed video of the game, but did not see exactly when the third-year center suffered the injury. Left tackle Taylor Decker was on IR with a finger issue, but may be activated to face the Bengals in Week 6.
