Frank Ragnow To See Specialist, Yet To Be Ruled Out Week 15

The Lions center Frank Ragnow had a laryngeal fracture, and
as expected has yet to practice this week. Today he will see a specialist and we take this as good news because if it were a more significant cartilage fracture, he would have been ruled out for Sunday. This indicates the Lions, who are not mathematically eliminated, are searching for a way for him to play safely. Remember he played over half the game with the injury, and they even switched line calls to the guard since Ragnow could barely speak. Presuming he gets cleared, he will likely have some additional protection below his facemask across his neck in the form of something like what baseball catchers were, or sometimes hockey goalies. They seem to already have a plan in place for the guard to make the line calls for blocking schemes heading into Week 15.
