Gardner Minshew reportedly suffered multiple fractures and ligament damage to his throwing hand thumb on Oct. 11 against the Texans. This would make it difficult for him to grip the ball, and affect his throwing motion. Although this may explain his lackluster play, the Jaguars have a bye this week and by the time he returns Week 10 versus the Packers, this should be a relative non-issue.
