George Kittle suffered a broken foot on Sunday, and by video, he likely suffered a 5th metatarsal jones fracture as he came down with a pass. He could very well need surgery, with a screw in the foot much like Deebo Samuel had this summer. We published earlier that it was a minor ankle injury but we definitely did not expect the injury to be this severe. His season may be over, but the team set an eight week window for his return. If the 49ers are in Wild Card contention at the end of the year they may be able to call his number, but until then they will need to find another weapon at tight end.
