The 49ers tight end suffered a hyperextension injury to his left knee in the Thursday night contest last week. He did not suffer any major damage and he was able to return to play. He was able to play well until soreness and stiffness knocked him out of the fourth quarter. There has been optimism related to Kittle as the findings are reported to be minor. By video, I saw no major ligament injury which would have Kittle out for the season or needing surgery. Our video analysis does show a potential bone bruise. Given the Thursday game, the 49ers held an extra practice today and Kittle was not out there with his teammates. The team does not need to issue an official injury report until tomorrow for Sunday's game. Until we see Kittle at practice, there is still potential concern for a bone bruise which would cause him to miss time. Of course the hope is that he just missed today because it was an extra practice and will be fine. Keep monitoring our site for more details.
