George Kittle Misses Practice For Third Time With Calf Injury, Doubtful To Play Against Cardinals

San Francisco star tight end George Kittle missed practice all week with a calf injury and is listed as doubtful for Week 5. Statistically less than 5% of players with the doubtful designation are active on gameday. Even if he does suit up, his mobility will be massively limited. Kittle was questionable with the injury last week, but played all of Week 4 and finished with 4 catches for 40 yards. We thought Kittle had a good chance to play again this week, but it's possible the calf soreness got worse from him playing on it last week. It shouldn't be a long term absence for the two-time Pro Bowler and we expect to see him back on the field after the team's Week 6 bye.
