The Niners star tight end had his practice window open up today, after a few weeks on IR. This certainly is progress towards returning to play. When his cuboid fracture was first announced many thought his season was over and we felt he could return to the field later in the year. At this point, it looks like he is headed that direction and there is certainly urgency to return but typically, after missing 3 weeks, the more likely pattern is to work his way back towards full practice to play possibly Week 16. However, given the urgency of the Niners staying in the remote playoff race, Kittle will undoubtedly lobby to play in Week 15.
