The veteran defensive tackle will miss his second straight season with a season ending injury. Last season with Dallas, McCoy suffered a quad rupture in camp and missed the entire season. This year, he at least got to the first week before suffering what is listed as a knee injury. One has to think it could be linked to last year's injury as a distal quad tear can be listed as knee. The former Pro-Bowler is 33 meaning it may be time to call an end to a successful career.
UPDATE:
By video, McCoy suffered a distal tear in his left quad. This is often listed as a knee injury since it is in a similar area of the leg. Last season, he suffered a rupture in his right quad while with Dallas. The quad injuries in consecutive years will make it tough for the veteran to return and be effective.
