Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss Monday's matchup against the Trailblazers with a left ankle injury he suffered in Thursday's loss against the Suns.
Antetokounmpo is listed as doubtful, but given that the Bucks play again on Tuesday the ProBasketballDocs expect the star forward to miss at least Monday night's game against Portland.
There's a slight possibility he could return Tuesday against the Pacers, but the Bucks would be smart to take the cautious approach with the two-time MVP.
When the inversion left ankle sprain happened Thursday, the ProBasketballDocs projected that his availability would depend on swelling.
The 27-year-old is reportedly dealing with soreness in the ankle, an indication of residual inflammation from the swelling.
However, the ProBasketballDocs don't expect a long-term absence for the Bucks' star because the ankle sprain was mild and his past history of left ankle sprains make the recovery quicker.
If if were the playoffs, he would likely play through the injury.
Antetokounmpo should rejoin the Bucks lineup Thursday for a TNT matchup against Joel Embiid and the 76ers.
