Giannis Antetokounmpo Out vs. Timberwolves With Knee Soreness

Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks star forward, will miss Saturday's game against the Timberwolves with right knee soreness.

Head coach Mike Budenholzer told reporters he hopes it's a short term issue but the team will see how Antetokounmpo responds to treatment in the next day or two.

The six-time All-Star and two-time MVP has not missed a game since February 14, when he was dealing with an ankle injury.

Bobby Portis ($6,500) and Serge Ibaka ($3,900) are in line for more minutes with Antetokounmpo out. Brook Lopez ($5,300) will also likely see his minutes increase. He returned earlier this week from back surgery he underwent after playing in the first game of the season.

Budenholzer also told reporters that Pat Connaughton ($3,500) will make his return Saturday for the first time since suffering a fractured fourth metacarpal in his right hand in mid-February.

The Timberwolves (41-30) are 3-point favorites at home against the Bucks (44-26), according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
