Giants Injury Report: Evan Longoria Back From Finger Injury

Veteran Giants third baseman Evan Longoria made his season debut Wednesday against the Rockies, but went hitless with three strikeouts.

The 36-year-old has been out since late March, when he underwent surgery on a ligament in his right index finger.

Longoria had reportedly been dealing with the finger injury since last August, but it had subsided before flaring up in spring training. The issue should be fully behind him now.

He hit .261 with 13 home runs last season in 81 games.

Giants World Series Odds

The Giants, 19-12, kick off a three-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals, 17-13, on Friday. San Francisco is +650 to win the NL West and +1500 to win the World Series.
