Tate popped up on the injury report last Wednesday which a reported hamstring injury. Tate was limited in practice all week and listed as inactive Week 1. He is again limited practice this week. This seems to imply a significant hamstring strain that happened in the preseason but the public did not know about the severity with lack of preseason games, no video and no requirements for injury reporting until Week 1. Do not be fooled by the limited practice status for Tate. One should wait until a full practice before inserting Tate into your lineups. Tate is the type of player that tries to play through injuries and it would be my expectation that he himself insists on doing work every day even though he is not fully ready to go. We wouldn't count on him until he can string a few full practices together.
