Greedy Williams Heads to IR with Nerve Issue In Shoulder

Browns cornerback Greedy Williams has missed all 5 games so far this season while on the active roster, and now has been put on injured reserve. After this setback, it is clear their hopes for his healthy return have been tempered and he will miss at least 3 more games. He was initially listed with the shoulder issue but it's now revealed as a nerve issue in the shoulder which explains the uncertainty. Nerve issues recover at varying rates and it could be related to a stinger or plexus type issue. In any case, given the pattern and lack of information the Williams absence may easily extend beyond the 3-week minimum for injured reserve. We'll monitor the situation when the 21-day practice window opens, but the Browns will have to look for other options across from Denzel Ward at this time.
