It turns out his non-contact left foot injury is indeed not an Achilles injury, but a rupture of his plantar fascia. Of note he has had this injury before on the other side when in Carolina. Some pundits have indicated it is the end of his season and maybe his career but we doubt that is the case. We believe Olsen has not played the last down of his career, or this season. He certainly has an excellent shot to return if the Seahawks make the playoffs and even before the end of the regular season. We expect a three to four week absence but expect him to recover in time for an important late season matchup and/or playoffs. No surgery will be required.
