Greg Olsen was injured blocking for a wide receiver screen early in the fourth quarter. His first step with the left foot showed Olsen favoring said foot and then going down in a non-contact fashion. We do not think it’s a dreaded torn achilles but Olsen was quickly ruled out with a foot injury. Olsen has had a history with fifth metatarsal fractures in the past and its likely Olsen misses time in the weeks ahead. After the game head coach Pete Carroll confirmed that Olsen suffered a plantar fascia ruptured but his season is not over and will miss the the next few weeks. His has torn the plantar fascia in his right foot in the past but this injury was to the left foot.
