The Saint’s star wide receiver missed practice today with hamstring and ankle designations. We aren’t too worried about the ankle given the timeline, also in order to strain your hamstring the ankle needs to be in good shape. At this point the worry has to be about Michael Thomas's hamstring and not his previous high ankle sprain. There is no video and little is known about the severity of the injury but missing practice certainly raises the level of concern at this point related to his hamstring. It seems Thomas hurt his hamstring in practice on Wednesday, thus posting a limited practice and today now listed as DNP. The Saints have been relying on Emmanuel Sanders and Tre’Quan Smith in the pass game, and if this setback continues to sideline Thomas, these two could continue to see the wealth of targets from Drew Brees.
