As the ProBasketballDocs have said all along, James Harden is set to make his Philadelphia 76ers debut Friday night versus the Minnesota Timberwolves.
All eyes will be on him, and rightfully so, as he gets his first action since Feb. 2 against the Sacramento Kings where he scored a total of four points, his final game with the Brooklyn Nets.
Our ProBasketballDocs believe that Harden's hamstring injury at the end of his tenure with the Nets was minor and shouldn't bother him in his 76ers debut.
Look for the biggest impedance to his game to be the acclimation to his new teammates more so than any hamstring injury.
He was seen at practice with the Philadelphia before the All-Star Break taking stepback threes, something he likely would not do on an injured hamstring.
The ProBasketballDocs have James Harden’s Sports Injury Central Score* set at 90.4 out of 100 for tonight and believe it would be even higher if not for his age combined with the prior hamstring injury.
We recommend Harden as a solid DFS play tonight as he was averaging 22.5 ppg and 10.2 ast before the trade and we’re confident we’ll see a full load of minutes and effectiveness from him against the Timberwolves.
He's available for $9,600 on FanDuel.
*SIC Score is our proprietary numerical injury grading system that incorporates the health of team and individual players to give sports bettors, DFS players and fantasy owners an edge each week during the season. While it purposely doesn't take into account coaching, schemes or matchups, SIC Scores give an accurate assessment of team/players overall health heading into a game.
For individual players a SIC Score of 100 means no current or past significant health issues or risks. A score of 0 means that he won't play. Numbers in between are a relative grade related to their health and performance expectations this week.
