Gallup tore his ACL on Jan. 7 and the Colorado St alumnus elected to delay surgery until February. This was likely because the torn ACL was paired with a sprained MCL.
The Pro Football Docs have tempered expectations for Gallup for the first half of the season, as he will still struggle to cut and decelerate immediately upon his return to the field. Expect to see a little more than half of the normal regular-season production out of Gallup.
Godwin tore his ACL on Dec. 19 2021. The Pro Football Docs believe his recovery will be much like that of WR Odell Beckham Jr.
Godwin is unlikely to be ready to play Week 1, and will be ineffective until the second half of the season.
When his knee regains its strength and stability, he will be able to return to his previous state of production. But that likely won't be in 2022.
Dobbins tore his ACL last August and also damaged his LCL in the process. While it’s being reported Dobbins will not play Week 1, the RB claims that he will be ready for the kick off of the 2022 season.
The Pro Football Docs maintain that he has a strong chance to begin the season on the PUP list and miss the first six games.
Fantasy owners should temper expectations this season. Multi-ligament tears complicate the reconstruction and return process and will slow his recovery to an even lighter pace.
Woods tore his ACL on Nov. 13 of last year. Before his injury, Woods played good football for the Rams putting up 45 receptions, and 556 yards with four touchdowns on top of a solid 12.4 y/rec.
Expect him to get off to a slow start to the season and start to ramp things up over the back half of the year. Woods could be in for a big role in Tennessee as rookie WR Treylon Burks and Woods pose a fierce 1-2 punch of raw athleticism and pristine route running that could become one of the more underrated duos in the NFL when the former Ram gets healthy.
He tore his left knee ACL and suffered MCL damage last Halloween. The former No. 1 overall pick is tracking towards starting in Week 1, although there is no way to be 100%.
He will likely struggle with his movement outside of the pocket, making him vulnerable to taking more sacks and making more dangerous throws under pressure. Expect the Saints to rely on their rushing game early in the season and for Winston to improve closer to the year mark post-surgery.
Williams tore his left ACL and suffered MCL damage to go along with it. While he will be much healthier in the second half of the season, he’s not worth taking high in fantasy drafts. His current ADP in redraft is #138, according to Fantasy Pros.
Williams will likely not be 100% back until he’s two years removed from the ACL tear, although it’s possible he shows flashes of his immense talent before then. However, Lions fans and fantasy owners must be patient with the 21-year-old.
At the very best, look for Williams to have medium production in the second half of the season. Anything beyond that would be a surprise.
Edwards tore his ACL Sept. 9 2021. Because his injury came early in last season, the timeline favors his progression as the season trudges forward, but he is unlikely to be ready to open the season.
The Ravens signed veteran Mike Davis and used a late-round draft pick on a running back; they will need to rely on other options as Edwards works his way into form.
He tore his ACL on Oct. 28, but had no other damage to the knee. While the team wants him to play Week 1, it would be a lot to ask Tonyan to play by then, according to the Pro Football Docs. Even if he does, he would not be 100% healthy.
It typically takes over a year for an athlete to completely recover from an ACL tear, thus our Pro Football Docs don't expect another breakout year for the 28 year old, like he had in 2020.
Thomas tore his ACL and MCL plus both his menisci on Dec. 5 of 2021. Though Thomas told the media he is progressing well, our Pro Football Docs are not so sure the tight end will be as productive as he once was. At least not right away.
While he may not bounce back right away or be a starting fantasy tight end, our team of Pro Football Docs do expect Thomas to improve later into the season and he may have value as a fantasy stash in some formats.
He suffered a left knee ACL tear with LCL damage and also had hip surgery during the offseason. Hamler has suffered a laundry list of other injuries in his time in the NFL including three different hamstring injuries and a concussion. Hamler will be facing a major uphill battle in 2022.
