Cardinals all-world wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and running back James Conner suffered injuries late in the Cardinals' Monday night loss to the Rams. Hopkins hit the back of his head on the turf on an incomplete pass in the back corner of the end zone with 1:13 left in the fourth quarter, appearing to suffer a potential concussion. After the play, he keeled over on the sideline and was not in the game for the final five plays. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said after the game that Hopkins was hurt late in the contest, he didn't believe it was serious, according to the Cardinals' team reporter Darren Urban.
Conner, meanwhile, suffered a left knee contusion on the second-to-last play when he was dragged down awkwardly. He stayed in the final play before getting attention from the medical team right after the game. We believe he is hurt, not injured, and Conner himself said after the contest that he was a little sore but would be fine.
After the loss, Arizona stands at 10-3 with the 3 seed in the NFC and will have a quick turnaround, facing the Lions in Detroit next Sunday.
