The injury-based props went 2-1 in the 109-86 Celtics win.
Tatum finished with 29 points and Antetokounmpo finished with 7 assists, but Brown topped his total with 30 points on 11-18 shooting and 6-10 from 3.
The Sports Injury Central staff are 5-1 on injury-based props in the second round of the NBA playoffs.
The Milwaukee Bucks - SIC Score 88.8 - play on the road for the second straight game after stealing Game 1 win in Boston. The basketball Cheeseheads played well without versatile F Khris Middleton, scoring over a 100 points and playing great defense, holding the Celtics to under 90 points. The Bucks will be without Middleton for likely the entire series meaning the team will need to rely on the great play of Giannis Antetokounmpo who posted a triple-double Game 1.
Boston Celtics - SIC Score 76.9 - came into the series dealing with injuries to starters Jaylen Brown (hamstring) and Robert Williams (knee) but left Game 1 with another. Marcus Smart will miss Game 2 due to multiple quad contusions. The Defensive Player of the Year's absence will be felt heavily on both sides of the ball.
For Brown and Williams, both started Game 1 but were not 100% healthy. Brown continues to nurse a hamstring issue picked up in the last game of the Nets series and during Game 1, clearly was hesitant on the offensive end while looking mildly flatfooted on the defensive end. Williams was inserted back into the starting lineup for the first time since suffering a torn meniscus and each game will be better for the center as he progresses back.
Injury-based Prop Plays
Jayson Tatum O28.5 Points -The Duke alum will need to be the whole offense Game 2 with Brown showing he is not yet back from the hamstring issue. Tatum finished 9 points short of the prop number last time out but expect the Celtics to post more than 89 points this time around.
Jaylen Brown U22.5 Points - The two-way forward has yet to regain his form after suffering a hamstring issue at the end of the last series. We expect him to get better over time but until then, go under on the points prop. Brown has gone over prop number just once in the last 4 games.
Giannis Antetokounmpo O6.5 Assists - With Middleton out, the Bucks offense runs entirely through the Greek Freak and it showed in Game 1 as Antetokounmpo posted 12 assists. He will continue to facilitate at a high rate and should shoot well over the prop number as he has done in 4 of the last 5 contests.
