However, they all encounter a challenging task in their quest to secure victory in their inaugural games.

Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud will debut in the NFL without three offensive linemen as his team takes on the Baltimore Ravens, known for their formidable pass rush. Last year's first-round rookie guard, Kenyon Green, will miss the entire 2023 season due to a shoulder injury. Right tackle Tytus Howard recently underwent hand surgery and has been placed on the injured reserve list, sidelining him for at least four games. Guard Juice Scruggs suffered a hamstring injury in the Texans' final preseason game and was subsequently placed on injured reserve.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young is also set to make his debut against divisional rival Atlanta Falcons. The Panthers encountered difficulties protecting Young during the preseason. Furthermore, Young will face the Falcons' top defensive backs, AJ Terrell and Jessie Bates, without his top two targets, DJ Chark and Adam Thielen. Chark suffered a hamstring injury on Aug. 22, and its effects may persist into the season as he has yet to return to practice. Thielen is dealing with an ankle issue that has caused him to miss practice time, and both players did not participate in Thursday's practice.

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is set to make his debut against the AFC South favorite Jacksonville Jaguars. This presents a significant test for him, although he's likely to play without his top two running backs. Running back Jonathan Taylor is sidelined due to a contract dispute, and Zack Moss is nursing a fractured forearm.
