The Philadelphia Eagles just can’t escape the injury bug, as they will be without nearly all their weapons on offense. This morning came word that tight end Zach Ertz and running back Miles Sanders will be out on Thursday against the New York Giants. Ertz suffered a high ankle sprain that potentially will sideline him a whole month and Sanders had a knee issue that was deemed less serious, but he will be out Thursday at least. There is potential good news for the Eagles, finally. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson should return this week from a hamstring issue which will give Carson Wentz some sure-hands. Wide receiver Jalen Reagor who was out due to a UCL tear in his thumb will come off Injured Reserve as will tighten Dallas Goedert who fractured his ankle in Week 3. There’s no word on if they’re playing as we need to monitor the injury reports this week, but either way the Eagles Injury Indexes continue time be at the bottom of the league. Ertz, Sanders, Goedert, Reagor, Lane Johnson, Brandon Brooks, Issac Seumalo, Andre Dillard, Jason Peters, Matt Pryor, DeSean Jackson, Alshon Jeffery, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside have all missed at least one game for the Eagles this season. Many are still out and will definitely miss Thursday Night Football against the Giants’ defense.
