Question marks exist for the top three Pittsburgh ball carriers going into Sunday. Third string running back Benny Snell underwent arthroscopic surgery to trim his meniscus which will make unavailable for several weeks and we likely will not see him back until Thanksgiving. Number two running back Jaylen Samuels had a similar procedure and did not return last week as initially expected but should be good to go this week. As for the number one running back James Conner, video showed what appeared to be a right AC joint sprain which he suffered with two minutes to go in the 4th quarter. Even though he has yet to practice, I expect him to be the starter and effective as it is possible to play through with an injection pregame. Despite the issues with the top three running backs, the situation isn't as dire as It seems.
