The Grizzlies ruled out star point guard Ja Morant for Wednesday's ESPN bout with the Nets with right knee soreness.
It will be his 2nd straight missed game with knee soreness which he has been dealing with since late in the game on March 18, according to coach Taylor Jenkins.
Morant was a partial participant in practice on Tuesday after sitting Memphis' win over the Rockets on Sunday.
The Grizzlies have been magnificent without Morant this season, going 14-2, including a 10-1 run winning streak starting in late November that began their vault to the No. 2 seed in the West.
Former national champion with Duke, Tyus Jones, will start for Morant as he has done in his absence all year. Jones is averaging 11.9 points and 6.6 assists on 43.4% shooting in 16 starts this season.
Desmond Bane, De'Anthony Melton, and Ziaire Williams are all in line to pick up the 27.6 points that Morant will take with him.
Each young wing scored in double-digits while attempting at least 10 shots in the win over Houston.
