By video, Jacoby Brissett has a mild MCL sprain to his lead leg and the brace he wears may have saved him. He seemed available for use as an emergency quarterback last Sunday and our thought was that he would probably be available to play against the Dolphins this week. He was seen at practice today throwing the ball wearing a brace on his lead left knee, and perhaps was slightly favoring it, not stepping fully into throws. Brissett is likely to be less mobile for now and I doubt many naked boots are called for him, but I believe he will be the starter this week. It will be important to watch how mobile he is and to see if he can step into throws enough while driving the ball downfield.
