By video, James Conner was presumed to have a grade three AC joint sprain of his right shoulder. An AC joint injury was later confirmed and he is not practiced this week. My expectation was that he could play through with an injection like running back Josh Jacobs for the Raiders. Today he was listed as doubtful for the game versus the Colts. The vast majority of doubtful players never play and those that do usually don't do much. Certainly the likelihood now is that Conner will not play but I would not rule him out completely. Of course, I didn't conduct his medical exam is but I think it is still possible that he could choose to have an injection and play with little consequence. Of course the choice to do so depends on him and what his exam looks like.
