There are in game worries about Jared Goff suffering a thumb dislocation upon following through on hitting a helmet. These were confirmed postgame and in addition to the dislocation there is worry for a fracture. This typically can go along with the dislocation, and creates the instability that was demonstrated. It was heroic that Goff even finished the game but at this point, a realistic option of surgery or pinning exists, and he is in doubt for the Week 17 game with playoff implications versus the Cardinals.
