The Cleveland Browns have placed wide receiver Jarvis Landry on IR as he recovers from a left knee MCL sprain that he suffered in Week 2. We are not surprised by the IR stint, but this shouldn't be a long term issue for him. We expect the 28-year-old to return after three weeks and be ready for Week 6 when the Browns face the Cardinals. With MCL sprains there is a short acclimation period, but he should be effective out of the gate. Eagles rookie wideout DeVonta Smith suffered an MCL sprain early in the preseason and missed a couple weeks of practice, but looked fully healthy in Week 1 when he collected 6 catches for 71 yards and a touchdown. Landry going on IR could prompt fellow Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to play at less than 100%. Beckham acknowledged that he chose to sit out Week 1 because he wasn't fully back from his ACL tear and didn't want to take up a roster spot if he couldn't finish the game. He still won't be fully back if he plays, but the Browns are down to Donovan Peoples-Jones, Rashard Higgins and Anthony Schwartz at wide receiver.
