The Buccaneers are poised to get defensive help from star defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul. Paul suffered a cervical fracture this offseason and was initially thought to be out for the entire season. With the suspected type of fracture, we always postulated that he could make a second half return and that’s what Paul is trending towards. Either he will be activated before 21 days are up or he will be put on injured reserve for the remainder of the season. There was no reason to open the window right now so the fact that the Buccaneers opened the window indicates that he is on pace for a return within the next few weeks.
