Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams was ruled out with a right knee injury he suffered on the first play of the second half against the Raiders.
Based on multiple video angles of his last run, there is significant worry for an ACL tear or other associated ligament damage, according to the Pro Football Docs.
Williams left the game and was examined on the trainer's table before he was ruled out.
He was carted to the locker room and left the stadium on crutches.
Those circumstances, along with this report from NFL Ian Rapoport, point to a serious knee injury for the second-year back.
Williams is in a similar boat as teammate Randy Gregory. The best case for both MRIs tomorrow would be a bone bruise, rather than a ligament tear.
Mike Boone entered the game after Williams' injury. Melvin Gordon was limited in practice this week with a neck injury.
Gordon had two rush attempts for 1 yard after Williams left.
Boone, a fifth-year back out of Cincinnati, had three carries for 20 yards, plus a catch for 9 yards.
Gordon has fumbled 3 times and lost 2 in the first 4 games.
The Broncos play Thursday night against the Indianapolis Colts, who may have lost Jonathan Taylor for the contest.
