Baltimore Ravens tackle Ja'Wuan James was carted off the field with an apparent lower left leg injury he suffered in the second quarter against the Jets.
By video, James appeared to suffer a torn left Achilles while pass blocking, according to the Pro Football Docs.
James went to the ground after being pushed back and appeared to suffer a pop in his calf, the telltale sign of an Achilles tear.
The former Broncos tackle also suffered an Achilles tear in May 2021 while training away from the team.
He was signed as a depth piece for the Ravens and was starting in place of Ronnie Stanley, whose left ankle issues have lingered from last season.
Ben Cleveland or Patrick Mekari will likely be next up to serve as the backup left tackle.
