Celtics two-way shooting guard Jaylen Brown emerged from the Nets series with an apparent right hamstring injury.
Despite grabbing at the back of his leg late in the third quarter of the Game 5 win, Brown remained in for the entire fourth quarter.
Brown said after Monday's win that he was going to be checked out, but expected to be fine for Game 1.
On Thursday, Celtics coach Ime Udoka said the same, that the team expects Brown to play in Game 1 on Sunday against the Bucks.
The Pro Basketball Docs expect Brown to play as well, but with limited mobility on offense and defense, with an SIC player health score of 71.
Brown was slow to close defensively and limited in his movements during the fourth quarter of Game 5. His main downgrade will be on the defensive end.
He does have a history of right hamstring issues in November and December, where he returned early and acknowledged that he wasn't effective during that stretch.
The Pro Basketball Docs do not expect any significant tear, but clearly the hamstring bothered him and this tightness and/or scar tissue from previous hamstring strength could turn into more as basketball continues for the Celtics.
Celtics center Robert Williams recently returned from meniscus surgery and is stiwns way back to 100%. His SIC score is now 71 and climbing.
As of Thursday, the Celtics were 5 point favorites over the Bucks and were -200 to win the series, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
