The San Francisco 49ers running back recently underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus. There is a big difference between a repair (sutures) and a meniscectomy (trim), which leads us to believe that his recovery will severely affect his 2021 season. If severe enough, this injury could cost Wilson Jr. the entire season. The recovery timeline is four to six months meaning most should avoid him come draft season and instead focus on Trey Sermon or Wayne Gallman who both now have less competition for carries behind lead back Raheem Mostert.
