Sam Darnold was expected to play on Sunday, but the Jets announced Joe Flacco will start instead. There must be lingering effects of the AC joint sprain and the Jets must not want him to play unless he has a full week of practice. It is interesting, on a Monday, that it’s already very clear Darnold won’t play. Often, these decisions are made on a Wednesday. Perhaps there is more Darnold is going through or the Jets are having communication problems.
