Jets running back Michael Carter suffered an apparent left ankle injury and did not return in the Jets' Week 11 loss to the Dolphins. By video, Carter had his left ankle trapped on a tackle early in the third quarter and did not return to the game. Based on the way he was tackled, we have significant worry for a high ankle sprain. The severity is unclear, but we don't expect him to play next Sunday against the Texans. Ty Johnson would assume the starting running back role if Carter misses time.
