Jimmy Butler, the Heat star shooting guard, will start Thursday night against the Hornets despite being listed as questionable with a shoulder strain.
Butler apparently suffered the shoulder strain in Tuesday's loss to the Mavericks. He played nearly 38 minutes, finishing with 29 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists.
The severity of his shoulder issue is unclear, but if the Heat were at all concerned with long-term issues with the shoulder Butler would not be playing.
The ProBasketballDocs expect Butler to play his usual minutes and he should be in for a big offensive night against a Hornets team that ranks 29th in points allowed.
Butler is averaging 21.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.9 assists this season.
The 32-year-old was selected as an All-Star and should participate fully on Team Durant.
