Jimmy Garoppolo Reportedly Out Six Weeks Due To Ankle Injury

Jimmy Garoppolo will reportedly sit out six weeks with the high ankle sprain that has been bothering him since Week 2. He has clearly not been 100% in recent weeks, and it affected his performances which caused him to be pulled from two straight games after flareups. We knew he would not be a candidate to start Week 9, and after this news it appears that Nick Mullens will be the passer for San Francisco moving forward. We are hopeful that he will not need surgery, and there is a possibility he could return before the six weeks are up.
